Our History

We are a family owned business which started in 1967 by Anthony and Shirley Colombo In Chalmette, Louisiana. Since Katrina, we are located  in Madisonville.  For over 50 years we have created costumes for Krewes in the New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Mobile, Houma, and Lake Charles  areas for Krewes such as Caesar, Endymion, Zulu, Iris, Morpheus and La famille just to name a few.  Anthony has revolutionized the costumes of Mardi Gras with his wire work and harness system and  has passed on the many years of knowledge  and experience to family members so we keep the family tradition going.  We are always striving to top our previous achievements while aiming for perfection and customer satisfaction.

Between 1990- 2005 our costumes were paraded yearly down Main Street in Disney World and Pleasure Island which is now Disney Springs celebrating Mardi Gras. Hurricane Katrina sadly ended this tradition.

We proudly decorated some of the biggest and elaborate costumes Mardi Gras had to offer working with the Carnesi family for the full 50 years the biggest Metairie Parade rolled. It was an honor, and we are still close with the Carnesi family to this day.

For 2024 you will see our work worn in all of these Krewes listed: Iris, Zulu, Endymion, La Famiile, Morpheus, Nomtoc, Poseidon, Eve,  Cleopatra.
